  Excellent location and lovely restaurant, good food and service, although no open bar for nightcap at 11 pm saturday evening.

  Bedroom nice and clean, bathroom excellent, bed also fine, however lack of furniture in room, I.E. no couch or comfortable chair with arms to sit, relax, and chat. Bedroom called "executive" and definitely lacked comfort on seating facilities. Only two one seater chairs with no arms in room, no coffee table either. Cost of room $159.00...not worth that much, equipped as such. This is our only complaint, everything else was just fine.

  The hotel location, in front of a lake, ten minutes by car from the Park de la Maurice or Trois Riviéres, and 25 minutes from Saint Alexis des Monts. It was quiet and the hotel staff were helpful.

  Publicity said 1 pool and 2 spas!!! Was the main reason for my reservation. There was only 1 spa and it was broken. When I called the front desk to find out where the 2nd spa was they told me it had been taken out I was dissappointed. They should correct there publicity it is a 4 star hotel and I consider we pay extra for the spas and there was none. My two teemage kids and I were dissapointed.

  The main reason we went here was the four stars combined with a very very good rate. Shawinigan is not a pretty location but the ideal starting point for a day at the parc la mauricie...
